We, at the Chocolate Covered Wagon, are so happy to be in Gardner Village. The people there are so nice! Along with the people being so nice, the atmosphere and scenery is amazing. From Archibald's to Posh Peddler, you can always find something new and interesting at Gardner Village.
As we have said in the last blog post, we moved the Trolley Taffy Station that was in Trolley Square for 28 years to Gardner Village. We are in the old train station at the north eastern corner of the village.
The Gardner Village store opened on June 1, 2014, and we have loved every minute of it! We were told that Witches Night Out was going to be crazy, and boy we found out what that meant.
Come get a caramel apple if you're going to be around! Try the White Water Rapids apple, its the best!

Trolley Taffy Station
In March of 1986 Beehive Candy was purchased by Cindy Davis. The store was located in the Trolley Square shopping center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The small business specialized in gourmet caramel popcorn, cotton candy, fudge, and a variety of bulk candy. An old Salt Water Taffy puller was acquired by Cindy when the store was purchased, but Salt Water Taffy wasn't a focal point in the business at that time.
After some time Cindy recognized the potential of the Salt Water Taffy when she coined the company's slogan: "Have a Good Old Fashioned Taste of Utah." Then people started coming to Trolley Square from all across the country to get a "Taste of Utah" and watch the taffy being pulled before their eyes.

Cindy re-branded her business Trolley Taffy Station to focus on the Salt Water Taffy, but she still continued to make gourmet caramel corn along with other sweet treats. The Salt Water Taffy is so unique because it actually has real salt from the Great Salt Lake in the secret recipie and every piece of taffy is hand wrapped.
After 28 years in business at Trolley Square, the desicion was made to close the Trolley Taffy Station and move the famous Salt Water Taffy operation to Gardner Village. The new store is called Chocolate Covered Wagon but still carrys the 28 year legacy built in Trolley Square.
